Packagist is the default Composer package repository. It lets clients find packages and lets Composer know where to get the code from. Composer can be used to manage your project or libraries’ dependencies.

Advanced user of PackagistI use packagist all the time, what I like about it is that it allows me to deploy my libs and easily include them in my php projects with composer, I have written multiple php http clients for microservices and it's amazing, easily include them in my other projects.
There's not much that I dislike about packagist, maybe the front end is a bit outdated and clunky but if it works, no need to fix
Keep using it, it only gets better
providing sharable libraries is the main thing really, it helps keeping everything in one place
