What do you like best?

I love the cost savings as well as the online design tools that are built into the platform. GotPrint provides many built in templates but also makes using the online design tool simple. The print area (safe area) is clearly marked and there are all kinds of templates you can download to use as guides when designing each print job. There is also some built in graphics and all of your print jobs are saved online. In addition to basic things like business cards, I am also able to print brochures, flyers, posters, rack cards and more!

What do you dislike?

I dislike that there is not an option for colored paper stock. A workaround for this it to put a background with bleeds on both sides, but the downside is that it is not easy to replicate textured stocks. I have also found a few quality control issues over the four or five years that I have been using the platform. While these items ended up being replaced, there is a strong emphasis on the need to prove that the error was not the user.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Call using the 800 number if you have any questions so that you can ensure the success of your final product. Overall for the money and the quality, GotPrint is a great solution to using expensive printers.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

The biggest benefit to using GotPrint has hands down been the money that we have saved. Prior to using GotPrint, we were paying double and triple the amount of what we are paying now. With GotPrint, I am not only able to design my products online, but I am also able to view proofs and place orders quickly. This has streamlined our printing process and best of all, things ship directly to me.
