Advanced user of jAlbumEasy even for a child to use. Drag and drop is simple and fun. Built in editing software is fabulous and quite powerful - better than what the big boys sell and much better than the cheapest of the cheapest. Themes/Skins are very good and updated frequently by developers all over the world. Super customer service. Everyone in management and downward are all photographers who understand what needs to be done because not only do they walk the walk, they do the talk for talk, and they keep it simple. Wonderful for developers as well with many articles devoted to those who want to make Skins either to add to the collections for others to use or only for themselves. Plus, it is all open source software. I've been using jAlbum for nearly 20 years.
Lots of things which I would like to see are unique to my needs thus they may not actually adopt my suggestions. Nevertheless, if I want something unique, I can make changes to the code and then I've solved the problem, except when new updates come out, then I need to figure out if my code changes can be "moved" to the updated version - that takes a lot of time though that's also true for any open source software that is unique to anyone's personal needs. There is no easy way to move modified software to the developer's new version. Other than that, I always find a Skin that I can "settle" for those options unique to my needs.
1) I can sell Fine Art from the albums I create
2) Reduce the number of clicks making it easier for someone to view my Fine Art and purchase any of the photos I have for sale
3) Organize my photography in various categories
4) Have private albums for select groups of people who need a password to view
5) I take thousands of photos every year and then select the best ones and put into Albums for people to view
6) I don't need to "recreate the wheel" by making another website for displaying Fine Art as jAlbum has hundreds of themes (Skins) from which I can choose to use to make a photo Album website
7) Editing is easy if my post editing software doesn't have the capability
8) Visual stories are fun to create and add to when necessary
9) Cost is less than 30 cents per day as compared to many selling sites
10) I can use jAlbum to display my "for sale" fulfillment labs easily
11) Organizing my photos is easier than what I can do on my computer
12) In many ways it is like having a one "shop" for displaying, selling, and telling stories
13) Tech support response time is less than a day
14) I can have my Albums available in multiple languages without having to have anyone actually create another album for each language
