★★★★★
CodeStream for streamlined code reviews and quick code discussions

What do you like best?

It is very helpful in quick code review, peer code discussions, and code highlights. It has a unique feature of code marks, which is discussion highlight for pieces of code, which can further help any new developer who will be going through the code at a later stage.

What do you dislike?

They should clearly showcase multi branch reviews with screenshots or relevant videos. Usually projects have multiple development branches and the benefit of CodeStream is that it allows for code review and discussion without raising a formal PR and without the need to checkout dev branches to review the code. This has to be extensively covered in videos.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Should go for CodeStream Enterprise if your team has lots of junior developers who need code mentoring. It will help bring all team members at parity and increase code discussion interactions between junior and senior team members.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

1) Peer code analysis

2) Removing possible bugs before they go into a release

3) CodeStream enables code discussion or review without a formal PR being raised, so it helps reduce PR comments / fixes time, and code maturity visibility before it gets committed to code base and raises un-necessary comments from a review by onsite team members (if there is a distributed team)
