Excellent and versatile tool for helping teams with value selling

What do you like best?

Value Cloud takes a holistic approach to helping estimate the value customers would receive. You can embed the value calculator on a website to allow people to perform a self-service estimate of the value they might receive. That value estimate can be handed off to a salesperson to have a more detailed discussion with that prospect. And importantly, that value proposition can be tied to the customer's account long-term so that the customer success team can continue to review whether the customer is on-track to receive the benefits they'd hoped for.

What do you dislike?

While value cloud is very easy for sales people and prospects to use, the configuration of the tool on the backend is arcane and difficult to understand. Their team puts in a ton of energy to help make sure that the backend calculations are setup correctly, so in the end we had great confidence in the setup. But the configuration could be made more intuitive.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

It's an excellent tool, but you'll need to budget some significant time to get it set up and running correctly

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We were performing business value assessments using one spreadsheet template, and had only two people in the company who understood how to use it. The value discovery interviews were time consuming and dependent on just these two people. Value Cloud is enabling us to scale up our value engineering operations enormously. We're still in the early stages of implementation, but we expect to scale from doing value assessments on 5-10% of deals to being able to do it on ~50% of deals.
