Advanced user of ThinglinkI love how you can take any image and create an interactive image out of it. For example, you can take a map, add pin-points to specific locations, and when you click those pin-points, you can set it for a video to open, an essay to open, or even more images! It's easy enough for even students to use!
As intuitive as Thinglink is, it is not as easy to start with. There are layers to the platform that take more experience than just click and go.
If you are using this with students, take some time to get very familiar with it yourself. This is definitely a tool that needs a demo and a walk-through before students use it independently. It is a tool that you can do SO much with if you take the time to learn it!
Thinglink helped us add a layer of pizazz to basic documents that teachers were sharing. Our first use was to take a map and make it interactive to showcase student work with the click of a button. It turned static infographics into more in-depth learning tools. It helped students add a personal layer to an "about me" project that allowed them to link parts of their world to the product that was turned in.
