Advanced user of Xara Designer Pro XI enjoy that there is seemingly no shortage of photoshop and video making opportunities. I also appreciate that there are many formatting options for exporting an image. One of my favorite features is the color picker, which helps me create a cohesive image or "erase" text by blending it into the background.
There are many moments where I wish to perform a simple edit but it requires a multi-step series of pressing various tools in order to do so. It makes my work harder to complete and I often need to seek help from a coworker. This disrupts both our days. My coworker has been using Zara for quite some time and even he gets stumped trying to understand what to do. I think UI could be simpler.
I have noticed that those who love Zara become loyal users. If it meets your needs you will likely not replace it! I do absolutely think it's worth trying out. Although I am not the most savvy, I can appreciate all that is possible with Zara. I have become comfortable with the parts of Zara I do utilize and find it enjoyable to work with. If you are looking for software to help with extensive projects, Zara is definitely up for the job!
I am able to share files with the office so we can all view a project and make changes for brainstorming ideas. I am also able to work on multiple projects at once and can easily switch between them without confusion. This has helped reduce the time it takes to complete a task/goal.
