I'm using a Scheduler to startup a VM that runs a specific tasks in order to collect some data from multiple websites and store it in a shared file storage. After the process in completed I use another scheduled tasks to shutdown the VM and free resources (saving money). The shared storage file could be accessed from anywhere with credentials so I'm able to investigate the details form my own laptop without incurring in additional charges.
