Better than Cision and Meltwater

What do you like best?

Professional staff who are quick to respond and actually get things done in a timely manner. I really like that they get their data directly from Nielsen so it is as accurate as possible. I don't need a fancy dashboard to get the data I need, so I like that Metro Monitor gets straight to the point.

I had a lot of problems with Cision and Meltwater. They were pricey for what you got and it always seemed like we were catching clips that their services weren't. The contacts lists they provided were also inaccurate. I'm not sure how often they update those lists, but there was a lot of emails that bounced back.

What do you dislike?

The user interface isn't great, but other than that, I think Metro Monitor is one of those best kept secrets.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Great bang for your buck and much more responsive and accurate than Cision and Meltwater. I have to review our services every year and have selected Metro Monitor each time simply because they are better.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Media monitoring. When we used Cision and Meltwater, both had inaccurate numbers. I was constantly calling those companies about news clips they missed. You don't get that as much with Metro Monitor.
