Netlify CMS is built as a single-page React app. Create custom-styled previews, UI widgets, and editor plugins or add backends to support different Git platform APIs. Netlify CMS is based on client-side JavaScript, reusable APIs and prebuilt Markup. Compared to server-side CMS like WordPress, this means better performance, higher security, lower cost of scaling, and a better developer experience.

Advanced user of Netlify CMSWell you can't complain much about a free and easy to use CMS. You can build an entire site with the JAM stack and be connected to Netlify CMS all for free. The platform is pretty easy to use and you have a lot of flexibility. It's an open source project, so there is great potential for improvements in the future.
It's very new, which means there is a lack of documentation to be found. Most people are extremely unfamiliar with it, so it's hard to pitch to clients. Setting up authentication for the admin is kind of confusing at time.
Check out Stackbit if you're looking for a static site solution that works well out of the box. This is still a good option for anyone working on a smaller project. I wouldn't recommend this for a client and you should be paying for something at that point.
