Salesforce with NPSP is an incredible value
What do you like best?
The NPSP is a full suite of tools for any non-profit. It has all the features you would need to track donors and comes with a ton of built-in reports. Most non-profits offer services and programs. You can track those as well using the Program add-in that is a super tool. It tracks your programs and the services and sessions that you provide to your constituents. You get out-of-the-box conversation logging, email and call integration, and a beautiful, full-featured user interface.
What do you dislike?
I would not call this a dislike; that is too strong a word. However, implementation is quite complex and you will never get anywhere unless you are prepared to hire an integrator, or else you are very skilled in product design and implementation of a corporate level product. This is not for the faint of heart. If you aren't skilled and prepared to pay for help, you must look to a lower-end type CRM system.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
We are tracking programs and services provided. The trick to non-profit funding is giving proof of services offered and being able to show trends. This is entirely built-in to the system. As you provide services, you will be able to view reports and dashboards that prove your effectiveness. No need to export data for reporting or having to query your agents for reports.
