Valuable Tool...

What do you like best?

The ease of use is great, basically ask the client two questions. It is easy to calculate in the program. The report is clean and clear, visually appealing for client presentations. Another thing that I really like/appreciate is the customer service is outstanding. Early on I had a few challenges with the program, called in and the helpful service was fantastic!

What do you dislike?

I would like some way to upload a portfolio from a custodian, that would be a big timesaver (maybe a csv file? I know mapping can be a challenge, but perhaps that could be worked out? Also designing a portfolio can be challenging as often what seems to be a simple portfolio, low risk or whatever, often it does not qualify within the risk profile parameters. This may require several changes to get a portfolio that works within the clients risk profile. Sometimes I have difficulty switching from Tax Clarity to SmartRisk and the switch is not always smooth! I would be nice to have some better training on this one, as I hate calling in and bugging the support staff for simple questions.

Try it out and see if it works for you. It's core concept is very good and well thought out.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I have used it to demonstrate to clients how their risk profile looks compared to what they are invested in currently. It has been a benefit because it helps explain to clients an expanded view of their risk profile using a higher level of confidence.
