Code42 Is Super Slow. For 20 Gigs of data, on 400mbps Upload, 5 days. Abundance of CPU and Ram.

What do you like best?

The potential of the offering, but not the offering itself .The ability to run on Linux.

What do you dislike?

Super slow. Maybe it's not throttled for bandwidth, but there are other things that could be throttled. There is no way that on a 400mbps on average internet connection speed, that it's going to take 5 days to upload 20 Gigs of data. This service might give you unlimited, but at what expense. How long does it take to upload your machine is the drawback. If you have large files. This might be a problem for many. I'm not sure. But this will most likely not work in our use case. Just be forwarned. This service is slow. Super slow. Oh, I'm on dual Wan systems. Copper and Fiber. I've disabled redundancy to make sure that this was valid for both drops, and not just a latency issue. It's slow for both. So there is something that is being drawn back, or they are fitting so many people through one pipe that there is no way to get beyond the demand for those specific draws of bandwidth.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

If you have a few gigs of data and can wait days to upload it' s fine.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

The benefits. Well. If it were faster, would be backup. But where I need to backup 70 Gigs every three days. This application is most likely not going to foot that bill.
