Streamline in the process of S&OP
What do you like best?
Mainly two features: the forecast generation and the order recommendations. Streamline chooses the best forecast method automatically depending on the data uploaded; this could differ between SKUs of the same family. On the other hand, depending on the SKU's parameters (lead time, Min / Max lot, rounding, etc.) Streamline generates the current supply or production orders, so possible future stockouts could be prevented.
What do you dislike?
When working with the Streamline Server functionality, this server links to a Streamline project located in the host computer. The issue is that all changes made on the server won't update the host's Streamline project: they will remain in a "server" project for about 20 minutes until the host's Streamline project finally updates.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
The main problem is that we were having struggles with our forecast process: it took a lot of time and delayed our supply orders. Now with Streamline,all that time, previously invested on the forecast generation, allow us to adjust the forecasts and order recommendations generated by Streamline, thus, less resources would be wasted in our operations.
