Advanced user of LucaNetWhat do you like best?
LucaNet is an extremely powerful tool for all reporting of financial data. Once fully implemented, which was done via an extensive project with LucaNet technical staff, the information flowed easily. Data from our accounting tool was pulled into LucaNet with little intervention and consolidation was then a one button click.
All the views are customisable to show what is relevant to what information is required.
In addition, the ability to be able to hold plan, forecast and actual data and compare between these at different levels (entity, department, cost type) at the click of a button is a large improvement to what we currently have.
What do you dislike?
As with all implementations of new systems, the process required significant investment of time for CFO and FC. In addition, the feel and look of the tool can be difficult to get used to at first.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
We are solving a manual month end, year end and forecasting process where the scrutinisation of excel spreadsheets are needed to understand the information and variances.
