What do you like best?
Esprit can program the most complex mill-turn machines with complete machine simulation. The output NC code can be predictable. Machine simulation will catch most programming miss-steps in tight machines. Wire EDM programming is almost effortless.
What do you dislike?
Some tool path calculations can be exceedingly long & are reliant to the whole process. Making a quick change can result in hours of recalculating time for features that shouldn't change. Everything is feature based. You have to convert model geometry to a feature in order to apply a tool path. Tools need to be defined & oriented in the machine layout long before considering a cutting strategy. Post processor is quite complicated for complex machines, but can be nice for simple machines.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
Able to program a complex mill-turn machine without bumping into any of the actual machine parts.
