Advanced user of vRealize OperationsI find the most value in the additional data/metrics it is able to provide when running multiple VMs that span across multiple datacenters vs using vSphere alone.
The interface can take some time to get use to at first. It took me a while to really fine tune the alerting so that alerts reported correctly, and ignore the machines that didn't require alerts such as our dev environment. Also, adding customized scripts as actions in response to alerts was something that I found to be challenging.
Automatic reporting, alerting and some response for VM's in our virtual world. Having the ability to provide accurate, easy to read reports to validate the need for additional resources if needed, and also forecast expected growth over time.
