Advanced user of ResearchGateThe comprehensive analysis of the desired field. You can get insights on various disciplines. You can also read news, publications, articles written by industry colleagues. It is interesting to see what others are working on especially people who are in the same field as you.
No obvious shortcomings of the service. Everything seems to be well done. There are less users on Researchgate than there are on Linkedin. It is taking some time to gather momentum and attract a rather large crowd. A large number of disciplines available and you can really hone in on what you'd like to follow and read.
