Great experience so far! Excited to keep learning about SimCad
What do you like best?
It's user-friendly and straightforward. This software has been much easier to learn than simulation software I've used in the past, and we have been able to get outputs from the software I didn't think we would be able to pull from it. It's a really great software.
What do you dislike?
So far, we have not had any problems that our SimCad representatives have not handled. The team we are working with has been a massive help in overcoming any roadblocks that came up. We have had a few slow model runs, but we have overcome these problems with the team's help.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I think Simcad Pro is a great and user-friendly software. The tutorials are an excellent way to familiarize yourself with the software, and the team is extremely helpful in guiding you in the right direction. I'm very glad we are utilizing SimCad in making our models.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
We are looking at a manufacturing plant and trying to optimize throughput. We have made some great bounds in identifying bottlenecks and seeing potential future problem areas in the factory floor. We have started testing what-if scenarios, such as improving cross-training, adding machines, adjusting batch sizes, resource constraints, and optimizing release schedules. I am excited to see what these scenarios will show us, as we proceed with optimizing the model.
