Advanced user of TRAX MaintenanceModules for just about everything including fleet maintenance tracking, Work Order Processing, Inventory control and financial record tracking. Trax is used heavily and scales well to support our fleet as it grew from 50 aircraft to over 100 aircraft. Separation of duties and controls across modules makes it nice as well for audit reporting.
Any customizations made to the software don't pass along easily from one version to the next as you upgrade. Reliance on Java/Tomcat has made security patching and so on very difficult. Extensive training at all levels for users to fully understand and know how to use the many modules.
Inventory tracking was the biggest issue we had. Increasing expenses year over year due to parts that could not be found and over purchasing of in-stock parts and trackable items. This caused audit failures, budget shortfalls and so on over many years.
