Lightweight and Super Effective

What do you like best?

Webroot is able to keep our client's data and information secure without impacting performance like it's competitors. Anytime there is a threat, Webroot will automatically mitigate and quarantine the file. If the file is safe, we can whitelist it in the Web console. It's also helpful that the Management Console has auditing so we can see what technicians modified settings or mitigated threats.

Webroot support is top-notch as well. We had a day zero ransomeware attack and contacted Webroot. A dedicated Webroot tech was assigned to us and worked with us over the course of a couple days to prevent this from happening again. They also took the signature of the malware and uploaded it to their servers in order to prevent this from happening for anyone else.

What do you dislike?

One of the things I dislike about Webroot is that it is difficult to move clients out of containers and into other company containers if there is a mistake. You will typically have to uninstall the client and reinstall with the correct company ID to get it in the correct company container. We are generally able to resolve this through CMD prompt.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Be sure to read up on the deployment documentation. An MSI is provided and can be configured using ORCA to deploy this across a domain enviorment via GPO.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

There is a client with another antivirus software that was having horrible performance issues. Once we migrated them to Webroot, 90% of the performance issue were solved. There is a fine line between being safe while degrading performance but Webroot is able to take that out of the picture and accomplish both speed and maximum protection.
