UpsideLMS - a highly usable, well designed LMS

What do you like best?

Upside is super easy for administrators to start using. Most LMSs are too cumbersome and time-consuming to manage. It has all the features I need, and is at a great price-point.

I also love the fact that UpsideLMS continues to improve their SaaS LMS, so multiple times a year there are new features released that we can really benefit from. They also listen well to their customers and take action and don't say 'thanks for the feedback, we'll put it on the list' - they actually make it happen. The recent large UI upgrade we knew was going to be big deal for our many customer portals, so we suggested that they implement it so that we can control the roll-out on a portal by portal basis, which now we are able to do - that's a huge deal! It really makes me appreciate what an extraordinarily customer-focused company they are.

What do you dislike?

I spin up a separate portal for each of my customers, so I would like a greater ability to report across portals, but in the grand scheme, this is not a big deal.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I am essentially using it white-label and reselling individual portals to my customers. The architecture of a central management hub with easy-to-create and populate portals is the perfect match for my business model. It makes customer security and autonomy easy to achieve, and the whole thing just works well. It has allowed me to bootstrap a significant new product initiative for customer education, and now it's a high-margin well-respected high-value customer offering that has grown rapidly and become a real success story.
