TrustPilot is NOT Trustworthy!

What do you like best?

I enjoy reading reviews on TrustPilot and seeing other people's insights on a business, but you have to be careful these days because TrustPilot's practices aren't so ethical or transparent. You must click on the reviewer's profile to check to see if they're not some phony created by the business owner. I used TrustPilot to review businesses before and ironically only my positive 5-star reviews remain up to this day because TrustPilot decided to remove all my 1 star reviews. Well, my word out there for everyone is just to be careful with TrustPilot and know what they're doing behind you. They hand-picked only the positive reviews, doesn't matter how long it is, it just has to be a positive review and display it on the business' website.

What do you dislike?

I don't only read positive reviews, but also consider the critical and negative reviews. The problem at TrustPilot is that they DELETE negative reviews! All the business owner have to do is to report the review for whatever reason, and then I get an email from TrustPilot asking me to send them verification that I used their product before. I sent the verification, and it keeps on going back and forth with their support desk, that it's just too much of a hassle to get my review live, so many of us just gave up. They're not on the consumer side, they're on the business side. TrustPilot is not transparent at all because they keep removing negative reviews. They don't care about positive reviews, but they get all worked up when you leave a negative review. I question the authenticity of how a review is "fake" when it is real in fact. I wouldn't want to spend my entire evening writing an multi paragraph essay on how much I hate this company and then have it removed by TrustPilot because it was flagged as "false". Like what the heck TrustPilot? Why do they leave the 5 stars positive review with 1 sentence alone but remove my in depth review about a bad business? TrustPilot is a hand-picked and biased review platform! I don't write reviews on TrustPilot anymore because of what they've done to me.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

TrustPilot allowed me to look up businesses before I invest my money into them. I want to be able to invest my money into a good business that doesn't have a bad reputation and history of fraud. TrustPilot is one of the many review websites that I use to look up the reputation of a business. It helped me steer away from bad companies, and make the right choice for which company I'm buying from.

All in all, do your research on a business, don't just solely rely on TrustPilot from what I've told you why you shouldn't.
