What do you like best?

What I like best about Shopify is that it was not very hard for me to build out my site; the builder was pretty easy to use, and when I needed assistance, I had no issues with getting support. Also, I like that they offered supporting apps in the app store that seamlessly integrated with my store with a pretty quick setup to be up and running pretty quick.

What do you dislike?

I wouldn't say I like that most of the apps seem to be built by overseas developers, and currently, I am having issues with the affiliate platform. The developer is in India, where COVID is presently taking a toll on its population. Before this happened, I communicated via google meets. Still, now I can barely get a response from any technician, which is problematic because I just launched my company and need help with my commission plan because it is not working correctly.

I think Shopify should have more American-based app developers for time zone reasons and add developers who can understand you better without language barriers. I love the concept and love to work with all types of developers in other countries, but I need prompt service when I have issues with my software in my business.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Shopify can be cost-effective for a new start-up eCommerce business; you are allowed to customize your website with all the features needed to run your business effectively. You can also customize the features to meet your specific budget and add more features as your customer base grows.
