What do you like best?
Enables Our District to Maintain District Wide Resources Well.
Simple interface. No moving graphics, flash, or proprietary plugins are required.
What do you dislike?
There's not much to dislike. It does what it is supposed to do, and does it well.
Initially was not supported with Windows Server 2016. (Version 17). Version 17.5 is compatible however. Version 17 worked OK on 2016 though.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
While the interface may seem generic, it is fast and has all the features needed to manage resources.
Have a plan BEFORE implementation on who is going to be performing the various functions.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
Keeping track of textbooks, and various other district resources.
We were facing the issue of no centralized location to keep track of the entire district's textbooks. Each school was responsible for maintaining its own supply. This lead to some schools ending up with many extra textbooks, while others did not have enough. There was no way to know this, however, as the books were just stored in closets at the buildings.
Resource manager has allowed the district to maintain the inventory of textbooks and other items across the entire district. The district warehouse starts with the initial supply, then schools can request what they need. When another school needs the items, they can be transferred to that building from the other school, instead of the building buying more copies.
This same system works for Calculators, supplemental materials, etc. It's allowed us to cut down on waste and redundant items.
